PolyVista Inc, a Houston TX software company released
this month version 2.0 of its flagship Discovery Client
product. This application was designed to support a broad
range of business users to help them uncover new and valuable

New in version 2.0 includes a common algorithm configuration
wizard and two (2) new Discovery algorithms.
1. Market Basket Analysis finds products that sell
well together (or more generically it finds events
that occur together)
2. Association Rules finds relationships between dimensional
variables (if X and Y then Z)
Additionally version 2 extends our animation functionality
to all 2D and 3D charts and graphs. We also introduce
a new "Pixel Map" visualization that allows insight to
be gleaned from very large data tables (many data rows
and columns).
PolyVista has enabled Compaq Computer in Houston TX, to
increase customer satisfaction and lower manufacturing
costs by delivering a proactive approach to warranty parts
management. Combining data from customer surveys, warranty
part shipments and call center tickets, PolyVista technologies
serve as an early warning indicator and detailed analysis
tool allowing Compaq to proactively take action to effect
a part replacement strategy or issue an engineering change
